MINDFUL ART THERAPY
When you let go, you create space for something better.
I'm Loralin Engel, and I'm head over heels in love with what I do!
Born in the Philippines and raised in the United States since I was a little toddler, drawing has always been my thing. As far back as I can remember, there was a trusty pencil in my hand, and my passion for drawing was ignited.
After school, I decided to dive into the world of hairdressing, and boy, did I stick with that for a good 28 years! While my scissors and combs ruled the show, my beloved art took a backseat for a while.
Now that I'm retired, my passion for art has come back with a vengeance, and I couldn't be happier! Sharing my creative gifts with others, inspiring and motivating them - that's what truly lights up my soul. Sometimes you have to let go and make room for something better. So in January 2018, I made the choice to pick up that pencil once again.
When you let go, you create space for something so much better.
As a self-taught artist, I find pure bliss and serenity in creating emotive and breathtakingly beautiful and mindful Mandala hand-dotting art. I let my creativity flow onto upcycled vinyl records, CDs, glass mediums, and even wall decals and suncatchers. Every day, I uncover new ways to transform inspiration from the universe into my art and I am very mindful of Mother Earth and all she has to offer us and generations to come. It's a constant journey of growth and exploration, always being moved by the elements that surround me - the wind, the sea, the trees, the flowers, and all the jewels that nature has to offer my soul.
Being a mindful Mandala artist - this is my happy place! It's where my heart sings, and I am absolutely, deeply passionate about what I do.
There is so much more to my story. Beyond the art, the loves of my life are my marriage of 20+ years, 2 beautifully unique children, and 4 adorable grandchildren. They are a huge part of what I do and they inspire me in so many ways, every day!
I also want to share with you all that in 2018, I embarked on a remarkable journey that began with merely five monarch caterpillars. The ensuing years have been a period of profound learning—about these wonderful creatures and, unexpectedly, about myself. What initially seemed like a simple act of giving back to Mother Earth transformed into a significant part of my spiritual journey. It brings me immense joy to be able to say that, as we embrace 2023, I have had the privilege of releasing 144 monarch butterflies this year.
So, with love and passion, I welcome you into my artistic realm. Let me paint your soul! Let's connect, let's create, and let's embark on an incredible journey together.
With love
